This Shipping & Delivery Policy outlines the terms and conditions for the delivery of products purchased from Security Store (U) Ltd (“we,” “us,” “our”) via https://securitystore.co.ug (the “Site”). By placing an order, you agree to the terms set forth below.

  1. Processing Time
  • All orders are processed within 1-2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) after order verification and payment confirmation.
  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
  • Please note that processing time is separate from shipping time.
  1. Delivery Areas & Methods

We currently deliver to all major districts across Uganda. Delivery methods are based on the product size, value, and your location.

  • Within Kampala Metropolitan Area:
    • Standard Delivery: Delivered by our in-house logistics team or a trusted third-party courier.
    • Express Delivery: Available for an additional fee. Please contact us before ordering if you require same-day or next-day delivery.
  • Outside Kampala (Upcountry):
    • All orders are delivered via trusted third-party courier partners (e.g., Posta, FedEx, DHL) or bus freight services for larger items.
  1. Delivery Timeframes

The following are estimated delivery timeframes from the date your order is processed (not from the date of order):

  • Kampala Metropolitan Area: 2 – 3 business days.
  • Major Towns (e.g., Jinja, Entebbe, Mukono, Mbarara, Gulu): 3 – 5 business days.
  • Other Remote Areas: 5 – 7 business days.

Please Note: These timeframes are estimates only. While we make every effort to ensure your order arrives on time, we cannot guarantee delivery dates and are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Courier delays
  • Inclement weather
  • Public holidays
  • Customs clearance (for imported items in transit)
  • Acts of God or force majeure
  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer.
  1. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on the following:

  • The delivery destination.
  • The weight and dimensions of the product(s).
  • The value of the order.

Free Shipping Promotion: We may offer free standard shipping on orders over a certain value (e.g., UGX 1,000,000). Any such promotion will be clearly advertised on the Site and is subject to change without notice.

The exact shipping cost for your order will be clearly displayed and added to your total during the checkout process before you complete your purchase.

  1. Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email that includes:

  • Your order number.
  • A tracking number (if available for your chosen delivery method).
  • A link to track your order online (where applicable).
  • The estimated delivery date.
  1. Receiving Your Order
  • Inspection Upon Delivery: It is your responsibility to inspect the packaging and the product(s) for any visible damage before signing for and accepting delivery. If the package appears damaged, you have the right to refuse delivery or note the damage on the courier’s delivery receipt.
  • Proof of Delivery: The delivery note signed by the recipient (or someone at the delivery address) serves as proof that the order was delivered successfully.
  • Failed Delivery Attempts:
    • If you are unavailable to receive the delivery, the courier will typically attempt delivery two more times.
    • After three failed attempts, the order will be returned to our warehouse.
    • Restocking Fee: If an order is returned to us due to failed delivery attempts, incorrect address, or refusal, we reserve the right to deduct any incurred shipping and restocking fees (up to 20% of the product value) from your refund.
  1. Incorrect Shipping Address

It is critically important that you enter the correct and complete shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to an address provided incorrectly by the customer.

If you realize you have entered the wrong address, please contact us immediately at info@securitystore.co.ug or call 0750333399 We will try to modify the address if the order has not yet been processed for shipping. If the order has already shipped, we cannot guarantee we can change the address.

  1. In-Store Pickup (Click & Collect)
  • You may choose to pick up your order from our premises at Plot 26, Bandali Rise, Bugolobi at no extra cost.
  • You will receive an email notification when your order is ready for pickup. Please wait for this confirmation before coming.
  • You must bring a valid government-issued ID and your order confirmation email (digital or printed) to collect your order.
  • Items will be held for 7 business days. After this period, uncollected orders will be considered abandoned and restocked, subject to a restocking fee.
  1. Title and Risk of Loss

The title to and risk of the products (ownership and responsibility for damage/loss) passes to you upon our delivery of the items to the carrier (courier service). Once the carrier has possession of the package, Security Store (U) Ltd is not liable for loss, theft, or damage during transit. Claims for in-transit damage or loss must be filed directly with the carrier by the customer, though we will assist in this process.
